full monty

The whole shebang

Full monty means the whole thing, everything, the complete amount—nothing held back or left out.

The phrase is British slang that gained wider currency after the 1997 film in which unemployed steelworkers become strippers and eventually bare all: They went the full monty.

It applies beyond nudity to any situation where you want the works: We're doing the full monty—catering, flowers, live band.
