minimal effort
Just enough work
Minimal effort is the least amount of work or energy required to accomplish something, or the deliberately low investment someone chooses to put in.
The phrase often carries a hint of criticism—suggesting laziness or lack of care: He put in minimal effort and it showed.
But it can also be pragmatic: The goal is maximum results with minimal effort.
