A food snob is someone who considers their taste in food superior and looks down on others' preferences—dismissing chain restaurants, processed ingredients, or unfashionable cuisines.
The term is usually pejorative, implying pretension rather than genuine expertise: He's such a food snob he won't eat anywhere without a Michelin star.
