flimflam artists
Slick confidence tricksters
Flimflam artists are swindlers or con artists—people who deceive others through elaborate schemes, fast talk, or confidence tricks.
The term carries a slightly old-fashioned, colorful quality, often suggesting someone whose fraud involves charm and verbal dexterity rather than violence: The flimflam artists sold fake miracle cures to desperate patients.
Also flimflam men.
