flight corridors

Designated aerial routes

Flight corridors are designated airspace routes that aircraft must follow, especially in restricted or contested areas.

They establish safe paths through otherwise prohibited zones—over conflict regions, between countries with limited diplomatic relations, or through heavily controlled military airspace.

The ceasefire agreement established humanitarian flight corridors for aid delivery.

The term also applies to migratory paths that birds follow seasonally.
