flex days
Discretionary time off
Flex days are workdays that employees can take off or schedule flexibly, typically as part of a benefits package.
Unlike traditional vacation or sick leave, flex days often don't require advance approval or a specific reason: I'm using a flex day to handle some errands.
Some workplaces use the term for days when employees choose whether to work remotely or come into the office.
