Flag presentation is a formal ceremony in which a folded flag is given to someone, most often the next of kin at a military or public service funeral.
The flag, typically folded into a tight triangle showing only stars, is presented with solemn words honoring the deceased's service: The honor guard knelt to present the flag to his widow.
