finger guns
Cheesy approval gesture
Finger guns are a playful hand gesture mimicking pistols—index fingers extended, thumbs up, other fingers curled—often accompanied by a clicking sound or a wink.
The gesture signals casual approval, acknowledgment, or flirtation in a deliberately corny way: He pointed finger guns at her across the room.
Sometimes used ironically to defuse awkwardness or lean into it.
