fastest car
Top speed champion
The fastest car is whichever vehicle holds the current speed record or leads in a particular race or comparison.
The phrase shifts depending on context—the fastest car in production, the fastest car on a track, the fastest car in someone's garage.
The Bugatti was the fastest car at the show.
In casual use, fastest car often expresses admiration or boasting rather than measured fact.
