false floor
Elevated decking system
A false floor is a raised floor built above the actual structural floor, creating a concealed space between them.
Common in data centers and server rooms, the gap allows cables, wiring, and air conditioning ducts to run hidden underneath: Cool air flows up through vents in the false floor.
Also called a raised floor or access floor.
