A falling dream is a common type of dream in which the sleeper experiences the sensation of plummeting through space—off a cliff, out of a building, or through empty air.
The dreamer typically wakes with a jolt before impact.
Folk wisdom claims dying in a falling dream means dying in real life, but this is unfounded.
Often interpreted as reflecting anxiety, loss of control, or insecurity: I had that falling dream again right before my presentation.
