expressibility

Ability to convey

Expressibility is the quality of being able to be expressed or articulated.

The term appears in technical contexts—logic, mathematics, linguistics—where it matters whether a concept can be captured in a particular formal system or language: The expressibility of certain properties in first-order logic is limited.

More generally, it refers to how readily something can be put into words or symbols.
