duns
Pesters for money
Duns are persistent demands for payment of a debt.
The verb dun means to press someone repeatedly for money owed: Creditors dunned him for months.
A dun is also the person doing the demanding.
The word carries connotations of harassment—dunning is more aggressive than simply billing.
Separately, dun is a dull grayish-brown color, often describing horses.
