drop it
Let it go
Drop it is a command to stop pursuing a topic or action.
When someone says Just drop it, they want the conversation or argument to end immediately.
The phrase can also be literal—telling someone to release what they're holding, or commanding a dog to let go of something in its mouth.
I tried to explain, but she said drop it and walked away.
