dromedary camel
Arabian desert mount
A dromedary camel is the one-humped camel native to the Middle East and North Africa, distinguished from the two-humped Bactrian camel of Central Asia.
Dromedaries are adapted to hot desert climates and have been domesticated for thousands of years as pack animals and for milk and meat.
The term is often shortened to simply dromedary.
