driving off

Pulling out, leaving

Driving off means forcing someone or something to leave or retreat, typically through aggression or intimidation: The dog drove off the intruders.

It can also mean departing in a vehicle: She got in her car and drove off without a word.

In golf, driving off is hitting the first shot from the tee.
