double acts
Two-person performance teams
A double act is a comedy or entertainment partnership of two performers who work together as a unit, typically with contrasting personalities or roles—the straight man and the funny one, or two complementary styles: Laurel and Hardy were one of cinema's greatest double acts.
The term extends to any closely linked pair who function as a team: The two senators have become something of a political double act.
