dorados
Bright tropical swimmers
Dorados is the plural of dorado, a large, brightly colored fish found in warm ocean waters, prized both as a sport fish and for eating.
The name comes from Spanish for "golden," describing the fish's vivid yellow and green coloring.
Dorados are also called mahi-mahi or dolphinfish, though they are not related to dolphins.
We caught three dorados off the coast of Baja.
