Railway meal venues
Dining cars are railroad passenger cars equipped to serve meals, with a kitchen at one end and tables for passengers.
Also called restaurant cars or diners.
They were standard on long-distance trains through most of the twentieth century but have largely given way to simpler food service: The dining car served a three-course dinner as we crossed the Rockies.
