depravation
Descent into wickedness
Depravation is the act of corrupting or making depraved—leading someone or something toward moral deterioration.
The word is rare, often confused with deprivation (the state of lacking something).
Where deprivation takes away, depravation degrades: the depravation of public discourse, moral depravation of the young.
