denouements

Final plot revelations

Denouements is the plural of denouement, the final part of a narrative where complications are resolved and loose ends tied up.

The term comes from French for "untying"—the knot of the plot comes undone.

It applies to fiction, drama, and by extension any complex situation reaching its conclusion: The denouements of both novels felt rushed.
