daily standup
Brief team check-in
A daily standup is a brief team meeting, typically held each morning, where participants share what they're working on, what they've completed, and any obstacles they face.
The name comes from the practice of standing to keep the meeting short—usually fifteen minutes or less.
Originally from agile software development, the format has spread to other industries.
Also called a daily scrum or standup meeting.
