crop dusting
Farm plane spraying
Crop dusting is the aerial application of pesticides, fertilizers, or seeds to farmland, typically from low-flying small aircraft.
The pilot who does this work is a crop duster, as is the plane itself.
Separately, crop dusting is slang for passing gas while walking through a space, leaving others to encounter the smell: He crop-dusted the whole office on his way to the break room.
