cordless telephones
Mobile home phones
Cordless telephones are landline phones with handsets that communicate wirelessly with a base station, allowing users to move around while talking.
Unlike mobile phones, they connect to a wired telephone line and work only within range of the base—typically a home or office.
The technology dominated residential telephony from the 1980s through the 2000s before cell phones largely displaced them.
