constructed languages

Deliberately designed languages

Constructed languages are languages deliberately created rather than having evolved naturally over time.

They include auxiliary languages designed for international communication (Esperanto, Interlingua), artistic languages crafted for fiction (Tolkien's Elvish, Klingon, Dothraki), and philosophical languages attempting to encode logic or eliminate ambiguity.

Also called conlangs.
