concept videos
Ideas made visual
Concept videos are music videos or promotional films built around an artistic theme, narrative, or visual motif rather than simply showing performers playing their instruments.
A concept video might tell a story, explore abstract imagery, or develop a particular aesthetic: The concept video featured the band wandering through a post-apocalyptic landscape.
The term distinguishes these from performance videos, which focus on the act of playing music.
