community safety
Local collective security
Community safety is the general condition of being protected from crime, violence, and other threats in a shared environment—a neighborhood, campus, or public space.
The phrase appears in government programs, policing initiatives, and institutional policies: The city allocated funds for community safety improvements.
It can emphasize collective well-being over individual security, sometimes as a softer alternative to "law enforcement" or "public safety."
