community art projects
Collaborative public creativity
Community art projects are collaborative creative endeavors that involve local residents in making art together, often in public spaces.
The emphasis falls on participation and shared ownership rather than individual artistic vision: The mural was a community art project involving dozens of neighborhood kids.
Such projects typically aim to beautify spaces, build social bonds, or address local concerns through collective expression.
