co-plaintiff
Joint legal complainant
A co-plaintiff is one of two or more parties who jointly bring a lawsuit against a defendant.
The term emphasizes shared legal action rather than separate claims: The co-plaintiffs alleged the company had defrauded them all through the same scheme.
In class actions, named plaintiffs who represent the larger group are sometimes called co-plaintiffs.
