clock watchers
Eager departure trackers
Clock watchers are employees who pay more attention to when their shift ends than to their work.
The term implies minimal engagement—doing just enough while waiting to leave: The office is full of clock watchers by Friday afternoon.
It suggests someone lacks dedication or finds their job tedious.
