chicken manure
Coop floor sweepings
Chicken manure is the excrement of domestic fowl, valued as a potent organic fertilizer.
It's high in nitrogen and must be composted or aged before application to avoid burning plants: Let the chicken manure sit for six months before adding it to the garden.
Also called chicken shit, though that term carries additional vulgar meanings.
