cherry pickers
Orchard harvesting machines
Cherry pickers are people who selectively choose only the evidence, facts, or options that support their position while ignoring the rest: The report cherry-picks data to make the economy look stronger than it is.
A cherry picker is also a hydraulic lift with a bucket for raising workers to high places—used for utility work, tree trimming, and warehouse operations.
The name comes from the original use: reaching fruit in orchards.
