chemical resistant
Unharmed by solvents
Chemical resistant describes materials or surfaces that withstand exposure to chemicals without degrading, corroding, or breaking down.
The term appears most often for protective equipment and industrial materials: chemical resistant gloves, chemical resistant coatings.
A material may resist some chemicals but not others, so the term is relative rather than absolute.
