celebrity host
Star leading show
A celebrity host is a famous person who serves as the public face of a television program, award ceremony, or event.
The term often implies someone whose fame originated elsewhere—acting, music, sports—rather than through hosting itself: Saturday Night Live relies on celebrity hosts to draw viewers.
Distinguished from professional hosts who built their careers in the role.
