cat's eyes
Lane dividers glow
Cat's eyes are the reflective road markers embedded in pavement to guide drivers at night, glinting when headlights strike them.
The term comes from how a cat's eyes shine in darkness.
Cat's eyes also names a type of marble with a colored spiral inside clear glass, and certain gemstones that display a similar luminous band.
