calling hours
Pre-funeral visiting period
Calling hours are the scheduled time when visitors may come to a funeral home to view the deceased and offer condolences to the family.
The term is regional, used mainly in parts of the northeastern United States; elsewhere the same event is called a visitation or viewing.
Calling hours are from 4 to 7 on Thursday.
