business lunches
Midday work meals
Business lunches are midday meals where work gets done—deals negotiated, clients courted, colleagues consulted.
The setting is typically a restaurant, and the meal often goes on an expense account.
The format softens professional interactions with food and drink while maintaining productive purpose: We closed the deal over business lunches at that Italian place downtown.
