bug catching
Netting small creatures
Bug catching is the hobby or activity of capturing insects and other small arthropods, typically for observation, collection, or study.
Popular especially among children in Japan and parts of Asia, it involves nets, jars, and patience: We spent the summer afternoon bug catching in the meadow.
The practice ranges from casual play to serious entomological pursuit.
