breaktimes
Pauses between work
Breaktimes are scheduled periods of rest during work or school, when people pause their activities to eat, socialize, or simply relax.
The word appears most often in British English and in institutional contexts: The new policy extends breaktimes by five minutes.
American English more commonly uses the singular form as an adjective: breaktime snack.
