A bootleg remix is an unofficial remix made without authorization from the original artist or label, typically by a DJ or producer who releases it for free or underground distribution.
Unlike official remixes, bootlegs can't be commercially released due to copyright issues, but they circulate through SoundCloud, DJ sets, and file sharing: I found a sick bootleg remix of that track on YouTube.
