black bags

Black bags are heavy-duty plastic garbage bags, typically black in color, used for trash disposal.

The dark color conceals contents and resists showing stains.

In intelligence and law enforcement contexts, a black bag operation or black bag job refers to covert entry—breaking into a location secretly to gather information, plant surveillance devices, or obtain documents: The FBI conducted black bag jobs against suspected spies throughout the Cold War.
