bind off
End knitting row
Bind off is a knitting term for securing stitches so they don't unravel when you remove the needle from the work.
You bind off to finish an edge—the top of a hat, the end of a scarf—or to shape a piece by closing stitches mid-row: Bind off three stitches at the beginning of the next row for the armhole.
Also called cast off, especially in British usage.
