bathing beauty
Poolside glamour queen
A bathing beauty is a woman in a swimsuit, especially one considered attractive.
The term evokes early-to-mid 20th-century beauty pageants and beach culture, when women in bathing costumes were photographed for calendars and postcards: The film featured a lineup of bathing beauties by the pool.
Now somewhat dated or nostalgic.
