basement floor
Below ground story
The basement floor is the lowest level of a building, situated partly or entirely below ground.
In houses, the basement floor typically contains utilities, storage, or additional living space.
The term also refers to the actual floor surface of a basement: The basement floor was cold concrete.
In multi-level basements, the lowest is sometimes called the sub-basement.
