balloon glass
Round bowl goblet
A balloon glass is a wine glass with a large, rounded bowl that tapers toward the rim.
The shape allows wine to breathe while concentrating aromas at the narrower opening.
Balloon glasses are particularly associated with red wines and brandy: She swirled the cognac in a balloon glass.
