audio plugin
Digital effects module
An audio plugin is software that adds functionality to a digital audio workstation or other host application—effects like reverb and compression, virtual instruments, or analysis tools.
Plugins follow standard formats (VST, AU, AAX) that let them work across different programs: I downloaded a new compressor plugin for my mix.
The plugin architecture lets producers build custom toolkits without switching software.
- reverbProlonged sound reflection
- compressorPressure-increasing mechanical device
- equalizerWhat evens things out
