as you know

Given shared awareness

As you know introduces information the speaker assumes is already familiar to the listener, often as a reminder or to establish common ground: As you know, the deadline is Friday.

The phrase can also be passive-aggressive or ironic when the listener clearly doesn't know, or when the speaker wants to imply they should: As you know, we've been over this three times already.
