all-day event
Sunrise to sunset
An all-day event is a calendar entry that spans an entire day rather than a specific time block.
Unlike appointments scheduled for particular hours, all-day events appear at the top of digital calendars: holidays, birthdays, conferences, deadlines.
The term emerged with electronic scheduling software.
An all-day event may not literally occupy twenty-four hours—it simply marks the date as significant.
