acoustic album

An acoustic album is a music recording featuring instruments in their non-electric forms—acoustic guitars instead of electric, upright bass instead of synthesizers, natural percussion.
Artists sometimes release acoustic versions of previously recorded material, stripping songs to their bare elements: Their acoustic album reimagined the hits with just voice and guitar.
The format suggests intimacy and authenticity.
