Victorian heritage
Old British inheritance
Victorian heritage refers to the buildings, traditions, cultural artifacts, and aesthetic sensibilities dating from the reign of Queen Victoria (1837–1901).
The term often appears in discussions of architecture and historic preservation: The neighborhood's Victorian heritage is protected by landmark status.
It can also describe inherited social values or customs from that era, sometimes with implications of prudishness or formality.
